Sépulcrines Park

6
This site, along the Quai des Saulx, once housed the Devillez-Camion metal factory. Today, it is an open square used for events. The old convent of the Sépulcrines still stands and now houses the Maison du Tourisme and the Bouillon Médiéval Experience (formerly Archeoscope).
The convent was founded in 1626 by decree of Prince-Bishop Ferdinand of Bavaria to educate young women. Its development began in earnest in 1633, thanks to support from the d’Oyembrugghe sisters, who donated property and money.
In 1794, the convent was dissolved. The building was sold off, divided, and repurposed. In the early 20th century, it was split into small units for factory workers.
In 1991, it became a protected monument. In 1998, the Godfrey of Bouillon Archeoscope moved in. In 2024, it was updated and renamed Bouillon Médiéval Experience—a modern attraction about the medieval city.
